Online VAG MEDC17 / EDC17 decoding, changing and cloning tool
The MEDC17/EDC17 section covers Bosch engine control units used across the VAG range: EDC17C46/C54, EDC17CP14/CP24/CP44, MED17.x, MED9.x and related variants. Upload the internal flash and EEPROM dump read from the ECU and the service detects the immobiliser type automatically (immo 4, immo 4 old, immo 5, immo 5+, immo 6), shows the immo fields and lets you change them or clone the unit.
Editor works with Change data: VIN, immobiliser ID, CS (crypto key), MAC, PIN, FAZIT production data, ECU status and PowerClass — block checksums are recalculated automatically and the change is written to the last mirrored immo block, exactly like the factory tooling does. Immo OFF clears the immobiliser in the EEPROM and, where the type needs it, in the flash. Transfer and Full clone move the immobiliser data from a donor ECU into a new or used one, including VIN and adaptation fields.
Results are byte-exact: the output keeps the original structure, only the edited fields and their checksums change.
